- The 90’s Exposed
10 March- 30 April exhibition - images displaying local and international news, sport and documentary photography... by Peter Nash
With the emphasis on local features and news with images of the 1992 bombing of Coleraine to the attempts to save a whale as it became stranded on Portstewart Strand including a diverse range of feature images.
March/April 2010 at the Riverside Theatre
The selection will also include Peter’s documentary coverage of the conflict in Bosnia and his reportage on the small fishing villages of Sri Lanka which formed part of his portfolios which brought him 3 Press Photographer of the Year titles along with an abundance of awards for his feature, documentary and sports photography with his coverage of the Commonwealth games in Vancouver, Canada, taking him to the European Sports Photographer of the Year awards in Barcelona.
All the photographs are monochrome and hand printed by the photographer for maximum control over the finished image and will depict the transition in the photographer’s direction as the press industry changed and the digital era took over by the new millennium and his dedication to traditional monochrome photography and the necessity to embrace digital imaging.
