Riverside Theatre

Outreach

The Outreach programme is an important aspect of Riverside activity and encompasses:

YOUTH THEATRE
A 60 strong team meet on Saturday mornings from October to March to work on a production for public performance around Easter each year. Four tutors lead fun learning activities during each 2 hour session - acting, music and singing, & dance. Auditions are in September each year for ages 8-21 years.

WORKSHOPS & PRE-SHOW TALKS
A range of school workshops are available, most often in drama and occasionally dance. Pre-Show Talks are short 20 minutes introductions to plays. Previous knowledge is not assumed or necessary - they allow everyone to understand the context of what they may be about to see. Open to everyone.

ACTING SUMMER SCHOOL
An intensive drama school for teens each summer. The current director, BEN LEVY, graduated from Riverside's Youth Theatre and is completing his degree in Music at York University
