Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council boasts a wide range of cultural services in the area aimed to enhance the well-being of its citizens, communities and visitors by providing participation in, access to and an understanding of Culture, Arts and Heritage.This includes the provision of facilities in terms of both Arts Centres & local Museums, as well as a range of community based services and resources to both promote the cultural profile and build upon the culture, arts and heritage infrastructure of the area.
Based in Portstewart, our sister venue at Flowerfield Arts Centre is home to world-class contemporary art exhibitions, a packed creative learning programme, and great music. The small team strives to nurture artistic talent and provide exceptional interactive creative opportunities for all.
Located in Flowerfield Park, just 5 minutes outside of Portstewart Town Centre, Flowerfield boasts beautiful surroundings and the award-winning Diversity Playpark, one of only two fully accessible playparks for children in Northern Ireland.
The venue's facilities include dedicated craft studios in ceramics and glass and a FabLab, as well as performance space, multiple workshops, a children's reading zone and a media suite.
Picnic on the outdoors piazza, marvel at their exhibitions which run throughout the year and enjoy the therapeutic wonder of the many creative workshops they provide for children and adults. More information is available on their website here
